The Web has become a tool used by millions all over the world to communicate with one another.

Facebook, Twitter, Digg, YouTube, Google News, IGN, any forum, Skype, eBay, THIS BLOG and practically anything else you have visited or used online today are all tools put online to communicate with other human beings in different ways about different things.

This blog is a learning portfolio for the unit WebComms 101 and will be updated each week as we learn more and more about this "Web" phenomenon.

The first week!

This week we were introduced to the course content.
When one of the first things we were shown was Star Wars Kid I could tell that I would enjoy this unit.
The lecturer showed us some more notes of interest on the net, pleaserobme.com and a counter that showed how many online media types had been put on the web in a space of time.

In the tut we discussed our internet usage for most of the lesson and we discovered facebook is a very popular website.

For our weekly online activities we had to use Namechk.com to find username we could use for a group of websites we will be using later in the unit.
I DON'T WANT A GODDAM NUMBER IN MY USERNAME.
So I chose the user name HatWaffle.
